In association with
Halton Borough Council
The North West Group FOPS hold an ‘end of season’ rally every year at the end of September, where enthusiasts gather, with their various organs, vintage cars, commercials, tractors, fairground and machinery.

This was held at the Chasson Road Playing Field, in Urmston, Manchester, which is also where the ‘Mayday Steam’ event is held in May.  In September 1999, after a week of continuous rain, the field was so badly flooded, that the FOPS event had to be cancelled. A new venue was needed, Victoria Park in Widnes was proposed. Halton Borough Council, who manage the park, agreed that it would be a good idea to hold an event of this type.

The first rally was held in 2000 and proved to be such a success and was so popular with members, that it was decided to relocate to Victoria Park for future rallies.

The Victoria Park rally
I would like to acknowledge the North West Group FOPS and members of the Halton Borough Council team for their help in staging the event.
The 2009 event at this venue was another fantastic success. 40 organs attended in addition to vintage cars, motor cycles, commercials and funfair, etc. The Burnese Carters Association were in attendance with fifteen dogs pulling decorated carts around the site. A large marquee accommodated a good selection of models and crafts.

Fine weather graced the weekend, with a record attendance of  visitors.

On the Sunday, the annual auction was held, under the hammer of North West Group member George Howard.

The 2010 rally will again be in association with Halton Borough Council, on the 25th and 26th of September.

To avoid disappointment, early application is advised. Many applicants for the 2009 event had to be refused due to lack of space.

Entry forms for the 2010 Victoria Park rally can be obtained from 1st Mar 2010, by emailing me at: george@fairorgan.com

New insurance regulations state that an entry form must be completed to qualify for entry. Please ensure that the form reaches me no later than the 1st August 2010.
