The group organize an annual rally so that all enthusiasts can gather together at the end of the rally season for a social weekend.

The 2007 event at this venue was a fantastic success. 54 Organs attended in addition to a record attendance of  vintage cars, motor cycles, commercials, crafts and funfair, etc. On the Sunday, an auction of collectable's was held.

Negotiations are already under way with Halton Council for the 2008 rally, which coincides with the 50th anniversary of the FOPS and the Liverpool City of culture 2008.

The event will be held in Victoria Park Widnes on the 27th and 28th of September 2008.

Entry forms for the 2008 Victoria Park event can be obtained by emailing me at: george@fairorgan.net

The Fair Organ Preservation Society (FOPS) are an organization whose aim is to encourage an interest in Fair Organs and mechanical music in general.

The North West Group meetings are usually held on the 3rd Friday of the month, from September to March at the Shawe Hall Community Centre on Church Road Urmston Manchester, commencing at 7:30pm, when everyone interested in our hobby is assured of a warm welcome.

Meetings are generally well attended by 35 to 50 members and friends. After a short business session, we have an interval of about 30 minutes when refreshments are served. This is usually followed by an illustrated talk, a film/video show or a quiz, finishing around 10:00pm.

At the annual general meeting in January we also have our Models and Collections Night where members display their models and memorabilia. At the February meeting we also have an auction of unwanted items, which is conducted by member George Howard, resulting in a very welcome cash addition to group funds.
